Description
The transfer surface is showing some signs of wear to the gold transfer but otherwise the decoration is untouched. There is a tiny chink to the rear glaze and some crazing.
The back stamp suggests that this was manufactured in 1952 as part of the Wartime Concentration Scheme. Concentration in this instance means that the pottery factories concentrated their work between fewer factories. The letters A,B,C on the back were codes that set a maximum retail price for each piece.
Pieces bought from L&N have had a previous life, therefore may show signs of wear consistent with use and age
