A couple of interesting facts about egg cups. The first known egg cups were discovered in the ruins at Pompeii around 79AD and a ‘Pocillovist’ is the name for an egg cup collector (from the Latin ‘pocillum ovi’, meaning a small cup for an egg).
Pieces bought from L&N have had a previous life, therefore may show signs of wear consistent with use and age.
