£90.00
Stunning 1885-1930 porcelain plates decorated with the famous onion (or bulb) pattern in blue and highlighted by hand with iron red and gold.
The original Stadt factory was acquired by Carl Teichert from the town of Meissen and was called the Meissen Stove and Fireclay Factory. The company copied the Royal Meissen Factory pattern exactly, hand painting its copies. In 1882 it registered a trademark with the name ‘Meissen’ which has caused confusion to this day. These plates now have a value of their own and the red and gold design is hard to find.
They are absolutely beautiful and would lift the spirits of any table
